Here Are 5 Foods You Just Can’t Deny on a Ketogenic Diet!

For the longest time, my weight loss journey was always futile as I explored various diets that left a bad taste in my mouth and more inches and pounds in my body. It was not until I uncovered the ketogenic diet that transformed my body into a fat burning machine. It is a low-carb diet plan that not only helps a person to lose weight but enjoy better performance and health. It allows individuals to consume different things that are right for their bodies. Here is a list of my favorite five.

1. Meat
Meat is a staple food for people who are on a ketogenic diet. I recommend fresh meat and poultry because they are rich in vitamin B, have several minerals like zinc, selenium, and potassium and most importantly contain no carbs. Where possible, it is best to go for grass-fed meat because studies reveal that it has higher amounts of antioxidants, omega-3 fats, and conjugated linoleic acid. Here individuals can also include seafood like shellfish, salmon, and fish which are virtually carb free yet rich in selenium, potassium and vitamin B.

2. Nuts and Seeds
While researching the items to include as I go through the ketogenic diet, I came across seeds and nuts. They are ideal because they are not only law-carb foods, but they are also high –fat and healthy. Frequent nut consumption has been known to reduce depression, the risk of certain cancers, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses. Noteworthy is that seeds and nuts also have high fiber content that makes people full as they absorb fewer calories. Examples that the nuts and seeds that people can consume include walnuts, almonds, chia seeds, pecans, Brazil nuts, flax seeds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, macadamia nuts, sesame seeds and pistachios.

3. Healthy oils and fats
Professionals recommend that people should get the fat from natural sources like nuts and meat. These should be supplemented with monosaturated and saturated fats like olive oil, butter, and coconut oil. I particularly like butter because it helps to promote fat loss thanks to its high content of conjugated linoleic acid. Olive oil is a must have because it provides awesome perks for the heart. In its pure form, it has zero carbs and is rich in antioxidants like phenols which protect the heart by enhancing artery function, decreasing inflammation, and reducing heart disease risk factors. Coconut oil also has its unique set of benefits making it ideal for the ketogenic diet. For starters, it has medium chain triglycerides that the liver converts into ketones. It is also beneficial for people who want to lose belly fat.

4. Low-carb vegetables
Non-starchy veggies are ketogenic friendly foods because they are rich in nutrients and minerals and low in carbs and calories. Vegetables also have antioxidants that protect against free radicals in the body which cause damage to cells. Examples of veggies that I consume as part of the diet include cauliflower, kale, and broccoli.

5. Condiments
I loathe bland food. Thankfully, there are various sauces that people can include in their diet to always eat delicious food. These include whole spices & herbs, pepper, salt, zest, lime/lemon juice, bone broth, mustard and mayonnaise among many others.

Now I assume you are not a nutritionist (right?) and you do want the diet to work for you (right?), which leads us to understand why having the right information is so crucial, you would rather purchase a well-organized program than take your chances with guessing what to eat next, it’s just not worth it.

The One Diet Approach That Always Works

When it comes to losing weight, some of us find ourselves in a never-ending battle, whether we want to lose some weight or to change our nutrition for health purposes like decreasing insulin levels, at the end of the day the results speak for themselves, and they’re ALWAYS what counts! The reason you cannot get good results has everything to do with the wrong choices you make or have made so far, your health and appearance will NOT change by themselves, you have to take the RIGHT action! And once you have accepted that, you’ll be in a place where you can develop new motivation.

When you choose a Keto diet program, you can feel okay with paying a few bucks for a good and reliable one, a good program will give you the guidance you need and will assure your peace of mind, it will allow you to carry less load on your shoulders.

There is one thing you have to make sure and that is that the program gives you a CHOICE between all kinds of meals and snacks. Why is this so important? Because we want to balance between consuming the right dishes and enjoying our food! If you want your diet to work you got to have fun with it!

Yes, you Can!

It is evident that there are great tips out there you can use to remain on your Keto diet. But you are not limited to researching every little bit of information separately about this topic, which can be quite time-consuming.

One shortcut that I’m always recommending is to check out some programs to determine which one will fit you best and begin on this life-changing mission. You’ll have all the vital information packed in one place. In no time at all, you will notice outcomes that other diets didn’t give you and you’re going to feel and look incredible!

One well-written and comprehensive program I definitely recommend is The Keto Beginning.

A highly popular program that provides you with many different easy daily recipes as well as uncomplicatedly written information about the Keto diet.

Good luck!
